SDSL Point to Point

This is a low cost DSL solution that is specially packaged to build a secured and cost effective Wide Area Network (WAN). This connection is private and does not go over the Internet, making this system more secure than a VPN through the ISP DSL. Each point (minimum 2) is provided for a monthly fee.

* Each Point has a symmetrical access rate (equal download and upload speeds);

* Private IP connection

* Technical support during business hours is 7:30 am to 6:00 pm

* The maximum remote peers for each head office connection need to be discusses with the assigned Account Manager

* For high Traffic demands: SHDSL or Frame Relay service is required at the head office.

SHDSL Point to Point
The SHDSL service has the same characteristics as the DSL point to point service with the main difference being the choice of several (higher) symmetrical access rates.

* Supports Point to Multi-Point connections at up to 2 Mbps symmetrical access rates (equal download and upload access rates)

* Private IP connection

* Technical support during business hours, 7:30 am to 6:00 pm

* Maximum 4 remote peers for each head office connection

Installation Cost
Installation cost per access point is Afl. 500,-. DSL Modems to be purchased by customer as indicated by SETAR. Please refer to the SETAR website for current prices.

Modems/ Routers
The Account Manager will recommend DSL Modems and Routers. The Prices of DSL Modems and Routers will be included in a proposal.
