Dial-up connection in Redhat Linux 7.2 (KDE)

Click on the K button at the Desktop Menu, click on Internet > Internet Dialer.

This will open the Internet Dialer.

If you dont have any connections click on Setup, click on New.

Click on Dialog Setup to create a new account.

Enter "SETARNET" as Connection Name, and click the Add button.

Type The phone number 5880606 and click OK.
Note: If ISDN, type 5881616. (Only for external modems)

Click on the DNS tab.
Type by domain name setarnet.aw, at Configuration select Manual
Type in the DNS IP address 209.88.128.25 and click the Add button.
Type in the DNS IP address 209.88.128.26 and click the Add button.
Click OK.

To veryfing if your modem is on the right port click on Device tab.

To test your modem, click on the Modem tab, and click Query Modem.

If your modem is responds you will see the Modem Query Results box.

Having problems with your modem? See check the list of modems tested at Setarnet.

Type in your username and password and click Connect.

The system will dial Setarnet and verify your username and password.

If correct, you will be connected with Setarnet.

If you get the following error, there are two possible causes fo this error:
Either the username and/or password is not correct or there is no dial tone.
